Get Online Week - Online!

1/11/2020

The recent Get Online Week initiative of Good Things Foundation, Be Connected program saw over 700 community events take place in person or online across the country to support people to improve their digital skills.

ASCCA was honoured to have been an official supporter of the digital inclusion plan.
SWADE WA had a lovely virtual morning tea with some of our Western Australian potential new network partner representatives, from the 4 Peak Body Project, to celebrate.
Both virtual morning teas offered the opportunity to spruik the benefits of the #BeConnectedAU project.

Thanks to Good Things Foundation for their #GetOnlineWeekAus grants!
SWADE NT also hosted a virtual morning tea. Thanks to Victoria Daly Regional Council, Multicultural Council of the NT, Dept of Veterans Affairs and Catholic Care NT for popping in and participating.

Well done to the SWADE Project Officers, Natika Hawes-Wright, Ursula Lyons and Linda Beard who pulled together the events--and to Jenny who posted the Tim Tams and Tea Bags to all the participants!

SWADE Manager, Jenny Willcox was Guest Speaker at Walpole CRC’s Get Online Week event combined with their annual whole of community Pink Ribbon Breakfast, where $1700 was raised towards breast cancer research. She spoke on Walpole Computer Club’s enthusiastic embracing of the internet.
