Four Peaks - More Digital Mentors Trained

1/4/2021

The last month at the SWADE desk has been extremely productive for Tik, working on both WA and NT Be Connected, Capacity Building projects. Tik and Ursula have both been speaking with the team at Victoria Daly Regional Council in the NT since Get Online Week last year, and the Council has just applied for their first round of funding for a Be Connected pilot project to be held in their Library and recreation space at Pine Creek, just south of Darwin.

Last month Ursula made the hard decision to step down from her role within ASCCA’s Be Connected project in the NT, due to her other work and study commitments. She worked hard in the Top End to promote the causes of ASCCA and Be Connected and will be sadly missed. Consequently, ASCCA is currently seeking someone based in the NT who might be interested in picking up some of her tasks.

Meanwhile in WA, our Four Peaks Partnership project is still on track, having hosted another Zoom session on the last Monday of March - and adding another six new Digital Mentors to the tally. Natika has been spending her time following up the Digital Mentors she’s trained to see how they're tracking with their Be Connected projects.
